Obituary For Raymond Eugune Davis

Raymond Eugene Davis, 80, of Oxford, Alabama passed on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at his residence. He was born on October 11, 1941 to the parentage of Eugune and Corean Davis. He was one of nine children born to this union. He spent his childhood in Silverrun, Alabama. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was an active member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. He was the Chairman of the Deacon Board and also serve as the Superintendent of the Sunday School. He later moved his membership to Rocky Mountain Baptist Church. Raymond's occupation most of his life was Brick Masonry. He was also an instructor at both, Ayers State Technical College, and Gadsden State Community College. He retired from Gadsden State Community College. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Davis and his three children; Rhonda McGrue, Angelia Carter (Willis) and Kelvin "Ray" (Tamala) Davis; three grandchildren, Marquez McGrue, Kiara Johnson and Alliyah Carter; his brother John L. Davis and sisters; Ester Montgomery and Mildred (Ceolouar) Knox; His surviving in-laws; Willie Nell Hicks, Robert Ellison, Elizabeth Broadnax, Nellie Boswell, Obie (Myra) Boswell, Gloria Ann Boswell, Betty Boswell; and a host of nieces , nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his four sisters; Lula Mae Davis, Louise Davis, Lorean Davis and Gwenderlyne Miliner.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Thursday, July 7. 2022 at Rocky Mountain Baptist Church, Oxford, AL. Pastor Edward Bolton, Officiating.

Interment will follow immediately after service at Jennifer Cemetery, Munford, AL.

A public viewing for Mr. Davis will be held Wednesday evening, July 6, 2022 from 3-6 pm.
