Chris had a passion for coaching and mentoring youth through sports. Over the years, he had the privilege of developing meaningful relationships with students at Pensacola High School, Escambia High School, West Florida High School, Coahoma Community College, and Whitehaven High School. During his tenure at Coahoma Community College, he played a key role with improving baseball operations and guiding several athletes to Major League Baseball. Chris's most memorable coaching experience was in 2016 at Whitehaven High School in Memphis, TN. He served as a Running Back Coach and celebrated the team's 6A State Championship.
During the Fall of 2001, Chris met the love of his life, Lawanda Wallace. On June 3, 2016, they joined in Holy Matrimony. To this union, they were blessed with their four-legged child, Oreo. Chris will always be remembered as a loveable guy. His life was a blessing, and his memory will be treasured by the lives he touched.
Chris was born into Eternity on June 30, 2022. He was preceded in death by his son, Camron Jewel Fair. Chris leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife: Lawanda Fair; parents: Johnny Ray & JoAnn Fair of Kosciusko, MS; sister: Kimberly (Lance) Fair-Cain of Clinton, MS; niece and nephew: Kerra and Landen Cain of Clinton, MS; goddaughter: Nylah Hill of Kosciusko, MS; aunts: Johnny Florence Peteet of Gary, IN, Earnestine Truss of Las Vegas, NV, Delores Fair of Freeport, IL, Lynn Truss of Charlotte, NC, and Florence Herron of Milwaukee, WI; uncles: Henry Fair of Kosciusko, MS, Steve (Mary) Truss of University Park, IL, and Joseph Fair of Las Vegas, NV. A host of relatives, in-laws, cousins, close friends, The Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., and all the youth he's coached and mentored in his life. Lastly, he will be forever missed by his loving pet, Oreo Fair.
