Deborah Lee

02/28/1952 - 06/24/2022

Deborah Wallace Lee was born February 28, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Earnest Green and Mary Wallace. She confessed a hope in Christ as a born-again Christian on July 16, 1957, under the pastorage and leadership of the late Reverend Sherman Glover and joined Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church where she served until moving to Memphis in 1974. She then joined Greater Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Lawrence Moore and later joined Greater New Kingdom Church under the leadership of her son-in-law, Pastor Sean E. Lawrence, where she served until her health failed.

After working for twenty-six years, she retired from the railroad and dedicated her life to spoiling her children and grandchildren.

Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband of forty years, Charles S. Lee; her son, Charles Williams; daughters, Deatra (Pastor Sean) Lawrence, Deborrah Price and Nichole (Chris) Bridges; twelve grandchildren, De’Angelo, Donald, De’Paris, Doll, Dyamond, Destiney, Khristia, Khirsten, Kaitlyn, Jackie, Charles Jr. and Jamaul; fifteen great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Tuggle of Las Vegas, Nevada and Pastor Norma (Murray) Gillerson of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
