His service is 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church. The interment will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Stokes Dove; mother, Donna Dove Simmons; stepfather, Herbert Simmons; father, Edward Mumford Jr.; stepmother, Sina Mumford; brother, Toriand Dove, Christopher Mattocks, Stephon Hattley, Sherman Simmons, Anthony Simmons, Edward Mumford III, sisters, Nakisha Jones and Temela Staten; stepbrothers, Malcolm Simmons, Ray Simmons and Marcus Simmons. Masks are required.
