October 2, 1951 - June 28, 2022

Macon, Georgia - Rupert Webb, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

He was educated at GW Carver Elementary School and Ballard Hudson High School class of 1969. Rupert received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree from Fort Valley State University in 1976. He continued his education throughout his life with his latest accreditation coming in 2017 from Georgia Tech. Rupert began his professional career teaching public school. Later he accepted a position at Brown and Williamson Corporation. Rupert retired from Robins Air Force base after a long and distinguished career as a hazardous materials scientist.

Rupert was the widower of Mrs. Elsie Mason Webb, his wife of forty-three years. He is survived by two sons; Rupert Nkomo Webb (Afiya) and Julius Ade Webb; two sisters-in-law; Elaine Mason King (Willie King) and Janice Mason Clark (Pastor Bobby L. Clark); four grandchildren; Rupert J. Webb, Anna S. Webb, Walter L. Webb and Inez E. Webb.

Graveside Services are 10:00AM Wednesday, July 6th, 2022 at Oak Grove Baptist Church (3952 River Rd) in Fort Valley, Georgia with Rev. Larry Dunning officiating. Viewing will be prior to the service on Wednesday. We ask that you continue to social distance and wear face masks during the service.
