Obituary For James Wright

Bishop James Edward Wright, 86, of Radcliff, KY, died on July 10, 2022 at his residence.

Bishop Wright was a native of Suffolk, VA and retired from Crestar Bank. He was the former Pastor of the Church of the Solid Rock and loved to cook.

Bishop Wright was preceded in death by one daughter, Gloria Norfleet.

Survivors include two sons, James Wright, Jr. (Cynthia) and William Wright both of Suffolk, VA; one daughte,r Marella Jenkins (William) of Radcliff, KY; one brother, Elvin Wright of Suffolk, VA; one sister, Mary Scott of Boston, MA; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Bishop was a gift from THE MOST HIGH for my mother & myself. His daughter Gloria was very good friends with me sister Cynthia that also has passed on. I will miss your prayers and your many words of encouragement dear friend. Rest well soldier of The Great King of all of heaven and earth. HalleluYah!

This wonderful man was like a father-figure to me & my co-workers at Suntrust Bank (Main St.) Suffolk. He worked way beyond his paid hours, helping us in any way he could. right down to getting us food when we were too busy. He was as giving and caring as they come. Self-less.I'm so thankful that i was able to tell you that before you left us. I'll never forget you my dear friend... Love, Rhona
