I have always been so proud of my Uncle Landon. We share the same name, with one exception: My middle name also begins with D, but isn't:"Davis." I wished for years that Davis had also been bestowed upon me. He was such an awesome uncle. Uncle Landon is my father's youngest brother. My parents relocated from North Carolina and Virgina to California in the 1950s. Uncle Landon would drive his silver Cutlass sports coup, an Oldsmobile, across the country, from North Carolina to California. I was so excited when my parents announce Uncle Landon was coming to visit. He'd trusted my father and mother to take care of the car while he was out on military duty. I wanted him to stay longer, but he was always on a schedule. Such an awesome uncle. I didn't get to spend as much time with my uncle as I wanted. I suppose if I had been living in NC, Uncle Landon and I would have spent more time together. I'm thankful for the time that I had with Uncle Landon. That time was very short, and very special to me. I'm thankful and happy to recall all the fond memories of my beloved Uncle (and secret super hero). I hope he is exploring the universe as his infinite journey continues. - Landon D Alexander
