Ritchie Bernard Terry, 69, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Helen Jeanette Holmes-Grier and the late Willie Lee Terry. He was educated in the public school systems in Steelton and Harrisburg and was a US Army Veteran. He loved music and became a disc jockey. He was known as “DJ Ritchie Rich” and spun at the Times Hotel in Harrisburg. Ritchie was quite the handyman. He worked for McLamb Memorial Church as their repairman for over 20 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gerald Holmes, Ronald Harrington, Sr. and NinaJo Harrington. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Michelle Ford Terry; his sons, NaShaun Holmes, Naraun Terry (Mandy), and Amarion Lampert; his daughter, Lakina Sheppard; his siblings, Wanda Brooks (Henry), Napoleon Holmes (Kelly), Victoria Richardson, Janice Mullins, Anita Wilson, Alphonso Harrington, Ralph Terry and Renee Robinson; his uncles, Victor Bair (Barbara) and Curtis Days; his aunts, Norma Jean Days and Juanita Jackson; his 4 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ritchie’s life will be celebrated on Friday, July 15 at 12 Noon in the Sanctuary of New Hope Living Baptist Church, 395 S. 2nd St., Steelton with visitation from 11:30 a.m. until Noon and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. COVID-19 Guidelines will be observed with face masks.
