A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18th, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, with Pastor John Little officiating. A memorial service for Linda's sister Mary Fryar Parker, who passed away December 30th, 2021 will also take place at this time, with her inurnment in the family plot as well.
Linda was born Todd Bennett Fryar and Cleta Russ Fryar on September 30, 1942 in Wise County, TX. Her childhood was spent growing up in Bowie. Her father, Todd, passed away in 1957 leaving her mother to raise both girls. Her mother, Cleta Fryar, worked as a teacher and counselor at Bowie High School. When Linda graduated from college, she became a teacher. She later received a degree in Library Science and began working for the Department of Defense at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls. She was employed there for forty years.
Linda enjoyed visiting with her sister in Bowie. They often delivered Meals on Wheels to Montague County senior citizens together. Linda was a member of the Wichita Falls Republican Women. She was interested in furthering the goals of conservative citizens. Linda belonged to the Ladies Red Hat Society, whose mission is to empower each other to pursue their passions and discover all that life has in store.
Linda is survived by her cousins, Jessie Williams and Durward “ Chip” Williams, and many friends. She will be missed.

Mary Parker, 75, of Bowie, TX passed away Thursday, December 30th, 2021.
Mary was born to Todd Bennett and Cleta Russ Fryar on May 15, 1946 in Wichita Falls. She was the owned and operated of Nature’s Way Nursery in Bowie. Mary also worked for Brookshire’s for a number of years. She loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Mary was survived by her sister, Linda Fryar (now passed); cousins, Jessie Williams and Chip Williams; many other family and friends.
