In the small waterfront town of Riverside, Alabama on March 18, 1968, Albert Wade and Bertha Gildon Wade welcomed a son, Lee Curtis, to their growing family.
At an early age, Curtis attended Peace and Goodwill Baptist Church in the Riverside community. He attended school in St. Clair County and was a graduate of Pell City High School. Curtis was a former employee of WKW North America, LLC, Motel 6 and Publix Super Markets. During his spare time, Curtis found enjoyment in collecting comic books. His extensive collection dates back for years and may contain some classics.
On the evening of Tuesday, July 12, 2022, Mr. Wade received his eternal reward at the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital. Waiting to greet him in eternity were his parents, Albert and Bertha Wade; two sisters, Alberta Wade Brown and Wardean Wade Johnson; and three brothers, George Wade, Jasper Wade and Malcolm Wade.
Lee Curtis leaves to cherish his memory: six siblings, Deloise Wade of Riverside, Alabama, Howard (Vicki) Wade of Jackson, Michigan, Vardean (Mike) Evans of Pell City, Alabama, Bertha Smith of Pell City, Alabama, Carolyn Collins of Carrollton, Georgia and Lorraine Wade of Riverside, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
