OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Rufus Breaux, 73, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Mr. Breaux’s memories are being cherished by: his five children, Donald Minor and Ronald Minor, both of Texas, Isaac Nichols of Breaux Bridge, LA, Darell Nichols and Michael Nichols, both of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Elton (Lena) Breaux of Washington, LA; his twin sister, Ruby Breaux of Opelousas, LA; seventeen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Coleman and Thelma Kennedy Breaux; his daughter, Carolyn Breaux; one brother; and one sister, Rosa Weston.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to his nieces and nephews for going above and beyond.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
