OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at First Benjamin Baptist Church, 4228 Hwy 357, Opelousas, LA for Mr. Clarence C. Dunbar, Sr., 82, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 6, 2022 in Jennings, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Pastor Albert Tezeno, Sr. will be officiating the funeral service. Mr. Dunbar was a member of His Light Baptist Church under Pastor Marvin Andrus.

He served as a Deacon at Mount Olive Baptist Church and His Light Baptist Church.

Mr. Dunbar’s memories are being cherished by: his loving and devoted wife for 61 years, Celestine Dunbar of Opelousas, LA; three sons, Karl Micheal (Pamela) Dunbar, Sr. of Sewickley, PA, Eric Concard (Clark) Dunbar of Opelousas, LA and Clarence (Michelle) Dunbar, Jr. of Duson, LA; one daughter, Allison Dunbar Guillory of Opelousas, LA; one brother, Gerald (Charlene) Dunbar of Clarksville, TN; three sisters, Cleopatra Vallien (Billy) of Opelousas, LA, Pattie Ruth Peterson of Oakland, CA and Gloria Dove (Allen) of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Adam Dunbar and Maddie Broussard Dunbar; one brother, Dorsey Ventroy; and four sisters, Verna Mae Shine, Barbara Ann Washington, Orella Brown and Della Johnson.
