Obituary For Bessie Lou Polk

Bessie Lou Polk, a true staple in the community, was a graduate of Magnolia High School and she attended Alcorn State University. She was a devoted member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Polk passed away on July 14, 2022, and leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Richard and Adrian Polk, one sister, Shirley Wells, four grandchildren, Janell Toney, Tiana and Tristan Bridges, and Alyra Larry. Two great-grandchildren, Dallas Payne, and Brody Toney. Two nephews and one niece, Cory, Eric, and Ashley Thompson, and a host of great nieces and nephews that loved her immensely.

A public viewing will be held on Friday July 22, 2022, from 4:00-6:00p.m. at Fred Robinson Funeral Home, 4301 Main St, Moss Point, Ms 39563. Funeral services will follow Monday, July 25, 11:00a.m. at Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Moss Point, MS 39563

Mrs. Bessie Polk was an outstanding woman. She was an Election Commissioner for years and then served for me on the Resolution Board. I missed her tremendously when she was unable to serve. She will be greatly missed. Michael M. Dickinson
