Obituary For Tiny Louise Wise

Ms. Tiny Louise Wise, 62, of Athens, GA was born on October 2, 1959 in Oglethorpe County to the late Mary Cornelia Hunt and Raymond Hunt. She was later raised by two aunts, Nancy Sims and Bertha Thomas. She peacefully transitioned on July 18, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

She was educated in the Oglethorpe County School System located in Lexington, GA. She worked as a dedicated caregiver for several years and was a fashionista in every sense of the term.

At an early age, she joined New Hope Baptist Church in Carlton, GA (Vesta community) under the pastorate of Rev. C.P. Wright. When she later moved to Athens, GA, she still attended New Hope Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Alma Jean Hunt. She is survived by her companion of 30 years, Charles Fleming of Athens, GA and two daughters, Latange Wise and Nekeyia (Reggie) Wise of Athens, GA, one son, Gary (Yoshika) Wise of Athens, GA; one sister, Joyce Sims of Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Wille Hunt of Athens, GA, Raymond Hunt of Elberton, GA, Jeffrey Sims of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Korey Hunt of Augusta, GA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Bonterris Turner, Jamyria Wise, Nasir Crawford, Ravion Crawford, Tomariah Brown, Shamaria Brown, Kamaria Brown, and T.J. Brown; one cousin raised in the home, Angela Eberhart and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 10:00AM - 7:00PM at the funeral home.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00PM at New Hope Baptist Church located at 383 New Hope Vesta Road, Carlton, GA.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Barrett Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel.
