Obituary For Mother Henrattie Roberts Doe

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing" 2 Timothy 7-8

Mother Henrattie Roberts Doe was born on September 20, 1934, to the late Mr. William Henry Roberts and the late Mrs. Mamie Jones-Priester Creech in Old Barnwell County.

Seeking divine guidance at an early age, she was baptized at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Ulmer, South Carolina. Mother Doe was a faithful member to her church until her health began to deteriorate. Still, she would read her bible often, sing in her home, and pray all the time. She loved Mt. Calvary Church especially the old times when people would fellowship together.

Mother Doe was a homemaker and spent most of her life caring for her physically handicapped son. She was a very good cook and enjoyed the outside and cherish the nature which God has given to us all. She would build different projects, take care of her animals and flowers. Most of all, she just loved her family, especially her children and grand-children and to the fullest and would not have it any other way.

She met the late Mr. Conway Lewis Doe and they were united in Holy Matrimony on June 23, 1957 and was married for over 59 years. To this blessed union, three children were born.

On Monday evening, July 18, 2022, God summoned Mother Doe from her labor to her reward at the Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, South Carolina. Her memories will live in the hearts and minds of all knew and loved her.

In addition, to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by (1) Son: Conway Doe, Jr. (8) Siblings: Mattie Priester, Vernice Priester, Lila Roberts, Earthy Lee Fields, Willie Creech, Ree Ex Creech, Smart Creech, and John Henry Robinson, (6) Adopted Siblings.
