Roland "Smitty" Smith, 89, of Richmond, died July 23, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie L. Smith. Surviving are his daughter, Valerie C. Smith; former wife, Olivia Tue Smith; three brothers, Carl, Frank (Pamela) and Joseph (Catherine) Smith; two sisters, Thelma Neal (Edward) and Barbara Vaughan; nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Monday, August 1 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 2 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2712 Second Ave. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
