John Stanley Thomas Sr. 91, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, July 23, 2022. John retired as a bus from the Wakulla County School District, after 37 years in 1992. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Greater Mt. Trial P.B. Church, 1418 Sopchoppy Hwy with burial at Buckhorn Cemetery, both in Sopchoppy, FL. Viewing will be from 12 (Noon) to 6 PM Friday, July 29, 2022 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home. He is survived by eight children, Carolyn Moore (Walter), Rose T Mills (James), John Thomas Jr, Willie Thomas Sr (Karla), Tonya Riggles (Kevin), Willie “Scooter” Scott, Pamela Howard (Shawn) and Kelvin Webster (Beverly); 15 grandchildren, 2 grandchildren he raised as his own Belynda Thomas (Kerry) and Kendall Webster; 8 great-grandchildren; one sister Frankie Jean Lewis; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Scott Thomas.
