Obituary For Charles Edward Johnson

TYLER -- Funeral services for Charles Johnson, 58, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022 at New Life Community Church.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

I am so saddened to see Charles go! Even though I have not seen him in years I always thought he was one of the coolest guys I knew back on Harpole Street in Tyler, TX. One of my favorite memories of Charles is on one July 4th night his hair got set on fire with a sparkler! He had a cool huge afro at the time and to see him running and putting out that fire was priceless!!! Charles was so cool and had a great heart even then! Prayers for the Johnson family and everyone close to Charles. I know he will truly be missed by all!!!!
