FRILOT COVE – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Frilot Cove, LA for Mr. Alonzo Davis, Sr., 47, who entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Fr. Clifton Labbe, S.V.D., will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mr. Davis’ memories are being cherished by: his father, Lee (Juanita) Davis of Frilot Cove, LA; his fiancée, Kimberly Arnaud of Frilot Cove, LA; three sons, Tyran Freeman of Houston, TX, Brandon (Kimberly) Dunbar of Opelousas, LA and Martin Davis of Frilot Cove, LA; four daughters, Leigha Davis of Church Point, LA, Sandy Davis and Shemya Guillory, both of Opelousas, LA and Paige Arnaud of Frilot Cove, LA; one sister, Rachael Davis of San Jose, CA; three grandchildren, Rylen Davis, Brandon Dunbar, Jr. and Ja’Leigha Arvie; a bonus brother, Jeremy Darbonne of Houston, TX; a bonus sister, Holly Simien of Carencro, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: mother, Doris Chachere Davis ; his son, Alonzo Davis, Jr.; one brother, Dashon Lee Davis, Sr.; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Lafayette General Hospital, Dr. Shanir Hasan, M.D. and Ochsner Medical Center-New Orleans.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Expressions will begin at 10:00 a.m.
