TYLER --Marvin Lee “Jenko” Jenkins Jr. was born in Tyler, Texas on July 23, 1983 to Marvin Jenkins Sr. and Patricia Walker. He was the youngest child of five children. He attended Tyler Public Schools such as Ramey Elementary School, Dogan Middle School, and John Tyler High School graduating in 2002.

His employments included Whataburger and Arby’s in Tyler, Texas.

Jenko attended Shiloh Holiness Church in Tyler, TX.

On July 22, 2022, Jenko departed this life. Proceeding him in death were his Father, Marvin Jenkins Sr., Maternal Grandparents Turner Robinson and Helen Skinner, Paternal Grandparents, Wilbert Jenkins and Zora Jenkins, Uncles; Augusta Walker, Jimmy Walker, Billy Walker, Benny Coy Walker, Jeff Walker, Hollis Walker, Arthur Walker, Raymond Jenkins, James Jenkins, and Aunts; Nancy Davis, Helen Skinner, and Leotha Marsh, DeLois Pettigrew, DeMetria Jenkins .

He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Joseph Jenkins of Tyler, TX; daughter, Lexie Jenkins, Tyler, TX; Loving Mother, Patricia A. Walker, Tyler, TX; Siblings, Eric Davis Sr., Tyler, TX, Shunna Jenkins, Tyler, TX, LaMeika Mack (Brookins), Killeen, TX, SheMeika Arogbonlo, Houston, TX; Step-Siblings, Cornelius Betts, Synder, TX and LaShanika Betts, Tyler, TX; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Relatives and Friends.

Jenko loved his children, family and friends. He was definitely the light in the room and left his mark on people’s hearts. If he was here today, he would want everyone to continue to live your life to the fullest and cherish each moment you have with your loved ones.

A service of remembrance and balloon release for Marvin L. Jenkins Jr. will convene on Saturday July 30, 2022, from 5-8 p.m. at Bergfield Park in Tyler.
