Obituary For Roy Lipscomb

Roy Anthony Lipscomb was born June 15th, 1963 and peacefully departed this life Sunday, July 31, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was the son of Teretha Lipscomb Adams and the late Roy Adams. He was the Grandson of the late Raymond Lipscomb & Essie Myrtle Floyd Lipscomb.

He was a lifelong resident of Gaston County, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Ann Lipscomb June and two brothers, Maurice Lipscomb and Pete Lipscomb; two maternal aunts, Deloris Lipscomb Rinehart and Priscilla Lipscomb; Maternal uncles, Raymond W. Lipscomb Jr “June”, Charles Eugene Lipscomb “Charlie Lip”, James Lipscomb “Tater James” and Leonard Lipscomb.

He is survived by his mother & lifelong caretaker, Teretha Lipscomb Adams, one brother, Dewayne Lipscomb and three sisters, Deborah Lipscomb Garvin, Olivia Renee Lipscomb and Patricia Ann Wilson; Two maternal aunts, Sandra Faye Lipscomb and Linda Lipscomb and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and extended family and friends.

Funeral: Friday, August 5, 2022 at Gregory Funeral Service Chapel at 4:00 p.m. with thirty minute visitation before the service

Interment: Rose Hill Cemetery, Gastonia

Masks are required.
