Paul "Petey" Kent Swindell, 56, of New Bern died Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Viewing hours will begin at 10:00 AM Thursday and the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 11:00 AM, Friday, August 12, 2022 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel. The interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

He is survived by his fiancee', Christa Cherry of the home; son, Jared Hautman, Jacksonville, NC; daughter of heart, Trinica Bryant, New Bern; four brothers, Charles Swindell, Robert Swindell, Richard Swindell all of New Bern and Walter Swindell, Greensboro, NC; four sisters, Bertha Swindell, New Bern, Shelia Hyman, Worchester, MA, Gloria Brooks, New Bern, Valerie Brooks, Cleveland, Ohio.
