Life’s race well run, life’s work well done, life’s victory won and now comes rest for the soul of our beloved Fred English Jr. Fred was born April 21, 1962, in Mt. Vernon, Alabama to the late Geraldine Robinson English and Fred English Sr. At two years old, Fred and his family relocated to Atlanta, GA, where he departed this life on August 2, 2022. Fred attended Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta, GA where he showcased his love and strength for mathematics. He was a jack of all trades, entered the workforce and instantly became a teacher to those around him. Fred was a perfectionist and took pride in his work and teaching his brothers, family and friends his natural born skills that God blessed him with. He was one of the hardest working men you will ever meet. Fred helped build or remodel historic monuments, such as, the State’s Capital, the old Falcons Stadium, and numerous projects throughout Atlanta and beyond. In his final years, he dedicated much of his time building structures and renovating homes with his nephew, Jonathan and friend, Ms. Andrews. Fred had a heart of gold. Often, he would distribute his earnings to those he felt needed it the most, he was the ultimate giver. Like many of us, Fred had things that he struggled with. He wanted to make certain the message is clear that you can overcome anything that you are battling. He wanted to share with those that love him and know him best, in his last year, he was free of substance use, baptized and gave his life to Christ and was truly at peace with the Lord! Fred’s request is for you to teach someone what he taught you. His knowledge, grit and love will forever live in our hearts and future generations. He has stamped our heads, hearts, and souls forever. Fred English Jr. is proceeded in death by his parents (Geraldine and Fred English Sr.) and brother (Ronnie English). He is survived by three children: Lekethia (Antwan) Lightfoot, Demetrius (Summer) English and LaQuavious Fred English.
