Jordan attended public school in Gaston County and graduated from Ashbrook High School, Gastonia, North Carolina “Class of 2005”. Jordan was a very lovable and affectionate person. He was like a “Big Teddy Bear”. He loved playing his Trombone and he was a diehard Washington Redskins fan. Jordan was a devoted mate, father, son, brother, and uncle. He was loved by his entire family and community. He will be greatly missed.
At an early age, Jordan joined Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Gastonia, North Carolina (presently Mt. Zion Restoration Church). He really studied and knew the Bible.
Jordan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert “Jigger Red” Costner, Sr. and Louise Lockett Costner; maternal grand-parents, Mary Frances Nichols and James Frank Leake.
Precious memories of Jordan are left in the hearts of those that loved him: his companion, Takeema Sowell; two daughters, Khloe D’asia and Kamyah Nicole Costner; parents, Vincent and Karen Costner; his siblings, Tillisha Durham, Vincent Costner II, Micah Costner (Whitney) and Caleb Costner; three nieces and five nephews; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
