It was with deepest sorrow that Lavender’s Funeral Service announced the passing of Hughes Temple Church PASTOR ROY HUGHES, 69 of Ethelsville, Alabama on Wednesday, August 4, 2022 in Aliceville, Alabama.

PUBLIC VISITATION for Pastor Hughes was Monday, August 8, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lavender's Funeral Service.

THE HOME GOING CELEBRATION HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY of Pastor Roy Hughes of Ethelsville, Alabama was Tuesday, August 9, 2022, 12:00 Noon at Elbethel Baptist Church, 6704 County Road 75 in Ethelsville, Alabama. The body of Pastor Hughes was in state in the church one hour prior to the service.

INTERMENT was in New Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 250 New Cumberland Road in Carrollton, Alabama. Reverend Antonio Henry is The Pastor of Elbethel Baptist Church. Reverend Jacqueline Lang is The Pastor of New Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Minister De'Ann Hughes of Hughes Temple Church was The Eulogist.

FOR THE HEALTH & SAFETY OF EVERYONE MASKS WERE REQUIRED.

Individuals who are immune compromised, elderly, at high risk for severe illness, or currently ill were encouraged to remain at home.
