Obituary For William Columbus Stuart

William Columbus Stuart, 87, of Lexington, NC passed August 6, 2022. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Perry-Spencer- Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The Family will receive friends in the Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 2:30 p.m. ~ 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 4873 Pine Hall Road, Walnut Cove, NC.

William Columbus Stuart was born February 14, 1935, to the late Frank Stuart and Mary Johnson in Stokes County. He departed this life on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

William was a Truck Driver and supervisor for the street division for City of Winston-Salem, NC until he retired.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, James Stuart.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters; Evangelist Betty Dixon and Cynthia D. Jackson. Grandchildren; Derrick Scales (Joy), Sakia Sellars (Ernest), Travis Jackson. Great grandchildren; Davin Scales, Jocelyn Scales, Ethan Sellars, Elijah Sellars and Trinity Jackson and a devoted friend, Lester Penn and other relatives.
