Always the kindest and genuine guy you could ever meet, and many of us know to not let him sneak off to the bathroom before the waiter drops the check. That's a game we could never win with him.

So many memories with Matt and family. So many fun sleep overs, hide and seek and swimming in my dad and moms pool. Most of all the big trip to Missouri. I will miss talking to you and hearing your laugh. RIP CUZ. Love Krystal and family.

The best team dad anyone could've every had he was always there rooting for his girls at every game and tournament. Your family has always been like a second family to me. Matt My brother, protector and hero. From the time we were little you and I were always together. Playing on our little blue peddle car to building tree forts or snow forts. You watched over me from grade school to high school. How wonderful you were to even take classes with me in high school so I wouldn't feel alone. I'm so glad I got to see you and Bonnie before you left for Georgia. You were an amazing father and grandpa. I will miss you tremendously. I will always hold you in my heart. I love you, Stacy

Matt, thank you for your never-ending support and compassion. You were always so quick to offer your help with any situation with anyone. You immediately treated my sister and I like we were daughters of your own and always made sure that we knew that. Thank you for being the father I never had. You are greatly missed. Lots of love. ♡

Matt and I were like brothers, cigar buddies and great friends for any occasion. We're we're military brothers and aerospace workers. He would give the shirt off his back and we both felt the same way. Matt's up the and he is watching. KNOW THAT!

I've known Matt since early 70's when he, his Mother and Sister Stacy moved to Bakersfield, we use to play in thier basement. Put plays on in the back yard, he and my Brother would make Barbie Furniture for me and Stacy. I have such fond memories that I will treasure forever. I had the pleasure of catching up with him about our lives via messenger a few years ago. I have been Blessed for knowing him.

I met Matt when I moved in to the trailer park on Edwards. We became fast friends and very frequently had BBQs at each other houses. When he moved to his house in Rosamond we would still visit, BBQ, playing darts in the garage, enjoying beer, smoking cigars with some Amaretto. Matt still holds the record for making the BEST prime rib, and he did it in a Ronco Rotisserie. We PSCed in 2001 but still kept in touch. I was thrilled when Terra and Robert moved to GA and I knew Matt would soon follow. We reconnected easily, hanging out in the garage, BBQ, Whisky and Cigars. Gone way too soon.... You are deeply missed.

I remember visiting you all in Rosamond. Great bbq, a bit of Maker's Mark and family time. Rest in Peace. Lori Soto

My husband and I have known Matt for many years from Edwards AFB. They used to work together at 412 CRS and Test Cell if my memory is correct. I met Matt in the late 90's when we lived on base. It was on Halloween night he came up to our house on Fitzgerald Blvd. with his 5 year old daughter, Terra in her costume. They were out trick or treating together. He invited us over to his house when he lived on base so we could meet his family. Our daughter was 3 years old at the time and through the years we became close friends and our girls hung out together almost every weekend at their home in Rosamond. Those were fun years grilling and playing darts in the garage and watching our kids play together outside with the other neighborhood kids. I really miss those fun times together. We have nothing but fond memories of Matt during those years at Edwards. Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss. Paige & Rod Henney

I went to high-school with Matt and we have been friends many years. We've tried to make plans for our families to meet but for one reason or another they always fell through. We talked about meeting again with him moving to GA since it's a bit closer to MO. I will miss talking to him, sharing photos, problems, etc. He was so proud of the garden that he and his family planted. I received many a photo of his new home in GA. My prayers are with the entire family at this time, may God bless you with peace and comfort. Ginger

I went TDY with Matt in the early 90's. We went to Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. We had a good time, went fishing and hung out. It was a good time. I worked with him atEdwards AFB through the mid 90's as well. He was a good mechanic, fun to work with. My wife and I are praying for the family.

I'll always have memories of all the camping trips we took together as a family growing up. Family was always the most important thing to him and you could see it in all the time he spent with his girls and grandkids. I hate that I'll never get a chance to hang out with him again. Love you Uncle Matt!!
