Mr. William Smith
Passed 08/09/2022
Known affectionately as ‘Bobby’ to most everyone, William Thomas Smith was born May 4, 1940 in Esom Hill, Georgia to the late Thomas Jack and Annie Mae Smith. The sixth of 11 siblings, he loved to travel and experience new places and things. After graduation from high school he lived in Ohio, Milwaukee, New York, and Georgia. He loved cars, especially clean ones, and could often be seen riding through town with the infamous toothpick in his mouth. Bobby had a way of telling you exactly what was on his mind while making you laugh and shake your head. He enjoyed interacting and meeting people and after one simple chat with him you would be drawn to his loving and jovial personality. Bobby had the presence that would allow you to sit for hours and talk to him. He could wear whatever hat necessary to give you what you needed, be it a laugh, a hug or dose of tough love. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Arthur Prater, James (Jamie) Prater, Earl (Speedy), Smith, Jackie (Mary) Lovelace, Barbara Green, Mark Smith, Sr., and Wade Smith. Left to laugh at his jokes and share his stories are his siblings Leon Griffin, Betty Ellis, Frankie (Arman) Smith, and Tommy Pope, as well as a tribe of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 2p.m. at 605 Lynton Drive, Cedartown, GA 30125
Keep the family in prayer.
