James R. Nelson, Jr., 78, of Richmond, died August 12, 2022. Surviving are his wife, Rev. Barbara E. Nelson; two sons, Rev. Tyrone E. Nelson (Sharaza) and Jason D. Nelson (Candice); six grandchildren, Tyrone Jr., Jason Jr., Sydney, Makenzie, Jayden and London Nelson; brother, Carl Nelson; nieces, nephews, cousins; sister-in-law, Norma Harris; two brothers-in-law, Lloyd H. Sr. and Frederick Brown; other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Friday, August 19 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 20 at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church, 14 W.
