Obituary For Timothy Thompson

Mr. Timothy Louis Thompson, 50, of Shelby, NC passed away on Saturday , August 13, 2022 at his residence. He was born on August 25, 1971 in Cleveland County, NC to late Ed Thompson, Jr. and the late Gwendolyn Griffin Thompson.

Timothy graduated from Burns High School. A hard working man, he was employed with Carolina Finishing and Coating (C.F.C.).

He was a kind, gentle and loving man who loved his family especially his grandchildren. His pastimes included fishing, going to the race track and he loved doing yard work.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Edd Thompson, III and Ivan Eugene Thompson; three aunts, Lynn Toms, Katherine Kee and Ivory “Piggy” Wray and three uncles, Emmett Griffin, Jr., James Beam, Jr. and Calvin Beam.

He leaves to cherish fond memories of him to his wife of 27 years, Nikeesha Barron Thompson; his children, Quantria Shante Marie Ross of Charleston, WV, Timothy Louis Thompson, Jr. (Alexis) of Spartanburg, SC, Tiffani Alexis Thompson and Brandon DaShaun Louis Thompson both of Shelby; five grandchildren; three brothers, Eric Antonio “Tony” Thompson (Marilyn), Edriel Lamont Thompson and Mario Sentell Moore (Cherina) all of Shelby; mother-in-law, Mary Isabelle Barron McKissick; two brothers-in-law, James Keith McKissick, Jr. and Christopher Hargrove both of Shelby; sister-in-law, Tanya Renee Griffin (Travis) of Shelby; special niece, Aleka Thompson Tate; special aunts, Carolyn Griffin, Patricia Moore and Sandra Mendoza; special friend, Lazarus Welch of Shelby and a host of additional nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Ryburn Memorial Presyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM at the church and at other times 400 Highland Ave Shelby.
