MRS. CHERYL RITA BASKERVILLE FENNELL, daughter of the late Woodrow Sonny and Shirley Moorefield Baskerville was born September 19, 1962 in Philadelphia, PA and departed this life August 14, 2022 in VCU-Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, VA. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Wayne in 2021; grandparents- Deacon George “Daddy George” and Deaconess Jennie “Ma Jennie” Feggins and Clarence and Ellen Boswell Moorefield, Sr.
She attended the public schools of Philadelphia, PA and Mecklenburg County, Virginia.
She was married to Tyrone Fennell.
Cheryl was employed as an administrative assistant for many years in the medical field before becoming disabled.
She later moved back to South Hill, VA and joined Free Union Church.
Cheryl leaves to mourn her husband- Tyrone Fennell of Yeadon, PA; a niece- LaTia Jones and her children, Ajaevia and Qwaghyer'e Keith, all of Bryn Mawr, PA; step-mother- Sarah Baskerville of Philadelphia, PA; four sisters-in-law, Annie and Ethelone Fennell, Beverly Curry and Karen Fennell, all of Yeadon, PA; six aunts-Yvonne (Tyrone) Jiggetts, Lillie Feggins-Boone (Robert), Georgia “Lottie” Harrison, Tawanda Feggins Walker, all of South Hill VA; Betty J. Feggins of Bracey, VA and Hazel (Raymond) McCoy of Philadelphia, PA; three uncles- Clarence Moorefield of Fredericksburg, VA; Calvin and Fredrick Feggins, both of South Hill, VA; God brother- Gerald Baskerville, Sr. (Frances) of South Hill, VA; five great aunts- Frances B. Jones, Eleanor (Rev. Willie) Tisdale, all of South Hill, VA; Mildred (Nathaniel) Bing of Washington, DC; Avon Baskerville of Philadelphia, PA and Mertis Baskerville of South Hill, VA; devoted cousin- Chelsee Feggins; devoted and special friends- Will Holmes, Jr., Evelyn Jackson “Momma E” as she fondly called her; Linda Faye Talley, and the entire Circle Drive Family, and a host of cousins and friends.
