Obituary For Georgia Mae McCoy

Ms. Georgia Mae McCoy, 81, of Phenix City, AL passed Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church, Pittsview, AL with Rev. Frederick Miller, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 26, 2022 from 12-5 p.m. EST.

Ms. Georgia Mae McCoy was born December 31,1940 in Pittsview, AL to the late John Hurley McCoy and Corene Henry McCoy.

She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church, Pittsview, AL. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories one son, Garrett McCoy of Phenix City, AL; one daughter, Cassandra McCoy Ficklin of Phenix City, AL; one brother, Samuel McCoy of Columbus, GA; five sisters, Ruthie Dawson of Phenix City, AL; Maggie McSwain of Buffalo, NY, Myrtistine Jordan, Marian Ingram and Dorothy (Charlie) Fortson all of Columbus, GA; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, 43 nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

To:The McCoy and Ficklin Families I know that it is going to be hard to adjust to the passing of Mae. I can see her sitting on the couch watching TV and laughing at anything that I might say. She had a pleasant and pleasing attitude. I loved her too. But, we must remember that God won't put no more on you than you can bear. Let us love one another and stay together.
