Obituary For William Owens

William Owens was born March 31, 1955, in Allendale County, South Carolina to the late Willie Joe Owens and the late Eva Mae Owens.

He attended the public schools of Allendale County, and was a graduate of C. V. Bing High School.

William was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Johnnie Mae Chisolm, in 1973.

In 1970, William wanted to make a change for the better, and he decided to relocate to Jacksonville, Florida. While in Jacksonville, he developed a love for working on cars, and he began a career as a Mechanic.

In August of 2021, William returned to Allendale, South Carolina due to his health declining.

He had a personality like no other. He could start a conversation with anyone. Everyone loved William unconditionally.

In addition, to his parents, he is preceded in death by (1) Son: Reggie Lamar Owens, (1) Brother: Willie Owens.

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Blackville Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Blackville, South Carolina, he quietly moved into his last great adventure.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: Loving Wife; Johnnie Mae Owens, Allendale, South Carolina; (1) Son: Williams Kelvin (Natalie) Owens, Allendale, South Carolina; (1) Daughter: Lorhonda (Curtis) Owens-Cherry, Brooklyn, New York; (37) Grandchildren; (2) Brothers: Hurmon Owens, Allendale, South Carolina and James Owens, Philadelphia, PA; (2) Sisters-In-Law: Flossie Chisolm, Brooklyn, New York, and Patricia Owens, Jacksonville, Florida; (1) Brother-In-Law: Ernest Patterson, Allendale, South Carolina; Special Friend: Jill Goodwin, Jacksonville, Florida. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
