As a child Howard attended Dutch Valley Church of God. Howard also attended Central High School where he graduated in class of 2007. Preceded in death by father, Robert L. Locke, Sr.; grandparents Virginia Flack, Magelene Locke, Alfonzo Hunt & Emerald Leon Flack, Jr; Aunts Mary-Ann Locke; cousins Jerome “Jroc” Locke, Wesley Hunt, Darrell Mitchell, Marvin Greenlee.
He leaves to cherish his fondest memories his loving mother La-Tonya Mitchell; children ZaiVeyion L. Dorsett, Honesty Enique Mitchell, Hy’Zani Mitchell & step-daughter Kimberly “Tinky” Davenport; godparents Kevin & Traci Miller; sisters Ashley Mitchell, Monica Mitchell, Tina Locke, Shanequa Moore, Jasmine Locke & Destiny Rouse; brothers Robert Locke, Josh Locke, Justin Locke, Jaylan Locke and Jorden Locke; Aunts and Uncles, Sheila (DQ) Williamson, Melissa Ontiveros, James Mitchell and Phillip Locke, Sr., Malcolm Jackson, Michael Jackson, DJ Jackson & Corey Jackson; nieces and nephews, Lawana Frederick, Jamajsha Locke, Jada Delaney, Tierra Mays, Tobias Mitchell (Myree), Alfred Frederick, Braylon Johnson, Robert Locke, Jr., Kingston Locke & Jabriel Mitchell; cousins, Ja’Shyra Mitchell, Shardae Mitchell, Erica Craig, Pam Tate, Lorraine Mitchell, Ebony Mitchell, Ciera Hunt, Quonna (Al) Locke, Shay Locke, Phillip Locke, Jr., Cherry Locke, Charles, April North, Brittany Bell and Vanessa Bell; and a host of family to include the Hunt’s, Mitchell’s, Flack’s, Locke’s and Jackson’s; mothers of his children, Scquira Lundy, Brittany Davenport and Chasity Dorsett; Devoted cousin Orlando Glass; Devoted friends Corey Taylor and Mike Reeves; other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. at Northwest Church of God, 5320 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Knoxville, TN 37912 with the Celebration of Life to begin at 12:00 noon.
The final resting place will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the service. A dove release will conclude the service.
Mr. Mitchell will lie in state on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Unity Mortuary Chapel from 12-6:00 p.m.
