Obituary For Mrs. Betty Ann Little

Mrs. Betty Little passed on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Rising Star Baptist Church. Pastor Richo Williams will officiate. Trice Funeral Home of Thomaston is in charge of all arrangements. Please keep the Little family in prayer. Mrs. Betty Ann Green Little was born November 5, 1937, to the late Mrs. Grace Green Ward and the late Mr. George ward in Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia. She was educated in the Pike County School System.

At the tender age of 17, Betty met Mr. Robert John Little. On October 30, 1954, they were joined in Holy Matrimony. This marriage was blessed with ten children. To help support her family, she was employed by the Old Box Factor and later by the Thomaston Mills. After retiring from Thomaston Mills, she did private duty housekeeping services for several years. She was a faithful employee on all her jobs until she finally reached full retirement. She and her husband shared 48 years together until his passing on August 3, 2002. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children, and great-grandchildren.

During her leisure time, Betty enjoyed watching her favorite shows to include, “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader, “Wheel of Fortune,” and “Jeopardy.” Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Robert John “Waterboy’ Little two daughters, Barnetta Alsobrooks and Nora Vanessa Little, one son, Billy R. Little and one sister, Annie Lou Dixon. On Thursday, August 18, 2022, the Lord called her name. She quietly and peacefully answered the call and went home to her eternal resting place. Betty leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Mrs. Minnie P. Anderson of Edison, GA, Ms. Brenda L. Little and Ms. Peggy Little both of Thomaston, GA; four sons, Mr. Hugh Little, Mr. Ronnie Little and Mr. Phillip Little all of Thomaston, GA and Mr. David (Melody) Little of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren; children she raised as her own, one niece, Mary F.( Edward) King, great niece, Brenda Ellerbee, two granddaughters, Clairisha L. (Shedwrich) Allen and Kandice Jones; four grandsons, Amyer A. (Jennie) Jones, Kentron Alexander, Rafeal Chambles and Bryan Alexander; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Rose Lee (Lonnie) Lundy of Naranja, FL, Ms. Minnie L. Little, Mrs. Lillie Roger, and Mrs. Georgia Mae Green all of Thomaston, GA; an aunt and uncle, Mrs. Lula Green and Mr. Robert Green both of Thomaston, GA; a devoted friend Ms. Verlene Searcy of Thomaston, GA and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
