Minnie Lee Walker Jenkins was born March 15, 1947 in Eastern Jefferson County to the parentage of the late James Walker, Sr and Eliza Bynes Walker.

Minnie departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening August 17, 2022 at Piedmont Hospital, Augusta GA. She is preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Roxanne Jenkins and Daphne Jenkins, two brothers, Charles Walker and Lee Arthur Jenkins, a sister, Louisa Walker Golden and a niece, Jenny Walker Bunyon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Memorial C.M.E. Church, 4800 Highway 1 South, Wadley, Georgia with

Public viewing will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, GA with MASK

Interment will be held at San Hill Family Cemetery, Vidette, GA

She attended school in Jefferson County. She married her betrothed, the late James Jenkins in May of 1965. Minnie worked as a seamstress fir nearly 30 years and later worked at Fort Gordon Army Base before she resigned to raise her five minor grandchildren.
