Mrs. Patricia Ann Peterson-Davis was born on May 28, 1963 in Albany, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus and Victoria Brinkley Peterson. She was educated in the Dougherty County Public School System and graduated from Albany High School in 1981. Patricia furthered her education by attending Albany State University in Albany, Georgia, where she graduated with her B.S. Degree in Special Education in 1993, her Masters’ Degree, and her Specialist Degree in 2006. “Pat Davis”, as she was affectionately known, worked as an administration supervisor. She worked in the Dougherty County School System for thirty-four years, retiring on June 8, 2020 as a District 504/Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coordinator. She returned to work part-time as a District 504 Coordinator. At the age of thirteen, Pat gave her life to Christ and joined the Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Newton, Georgia, where Reverend Jack Johnson serves as Pastor. Pat was united in Holy Matrimony to Clarence Davis, Sr. in 1996. This union was blessed with two daughters. Pat fought the good fight, kept her faith and finished her course here on this Earth on Friday, August 26, 2022 at her home. Pat leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted husband of twenty-six years, Clarence Davis, Sr.; her daughters, Brinkley Davis, JaeCee Davis, both of Dawson, Georgia; her stepsons, Jarvis (Kayla) Jefferson of Columbus, Georgia, Clarence Davis, Jr. of Albany, Georgia; several grandchildren; two sisters, Geri Wallace, Nikki Peterson (whom she raised as a daughter since the age of 9, due to the passing of Nikki’s mother), both of Albany, Georgia; a brother, Wayne (Queen) Peterson of Albany, Georgia; a mother-in-law, Ruthie Davis of Sylvester, Georgia; a special aunt, Mattie Bodford of Albany, Georgia; a dear cousin, Louvena Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
