Obituary For John Griffith

Mr. John Willie Griffith, 82, of Purvis, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

He is the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Griffith. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Mt. Olive, Mississippi.

Mr. Griffith was a retired oil field laborer who loved to sing, service cars, horses, talk, his grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 29, 2022 at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel at 2pm. Interment will be at Harmony Baptist Church.

He is survived by: sons, Carlos Griffith of Texas and Sedrick Griffith of Sumrall, MS; daugthers, Carlita Griffith of Purvis, MS and Marie Johnson of Purvis, MS; brothers, Shelby Griffith of California; sisters, Louvella Haynes of Taylorsville, MS; Stella Griffith of Hattiesburg, MS, Mary Young and Geneva Phillips both of Purvis, MS; grandchildren: 8; great-grandchildren: 4.

Visitation will be Monday, August 29, 2022 at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel, 12-2pm.
