Victoria LaDawn Martin, 48, of Greensboro, NC passed Saturday, August 27, 2022. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 512 Henry Street, Eden, NC with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Victoria LaDawn Martin, 48, of Greensboro, NC departed on Saturday, August 27, 2022. She was born July 4, 1974, to the late Leola and George Martin.

Being reared in a Christian home, she was nurtured spiritually and taught the value of a relationship with the Lord. Vickie gave her life to Christ at an early age and often visited Swift Street AME Zion Church and Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.

Vickie was a proud Page High School graduate, and she furthered her education by receiving her bachelor’s degree from Guilford College and her master’s degree from Florida State University in Criminal Justice.

She started working at an early age. Ms. “V” as she was known by her students, drove a school bus for Guilford County Schools and has been employed by American Express, Wells Fargo and BB&T/Truist Bank. She was employed with Summit Credit Union as a Compliance & Fraud Investigation Officer at the time of her death. Vickie was a very loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, whom she loved spending time with. She honored her son, CJ and loved him dearly along with his accomplishments and was his biggest cheerleader. Vickie will be remembered for her welcoming smile, loving, caring spirit and the goodness she brought to others. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, caring for dogs, traveling and watching sports in her leisure time.

She is survived by her son; Christopher Elliott Bennett, Jr. (CJ), sisters; Robin Martin and Nicole Morehead “Nickie” (Brian), nephew; William Crenshaw, niece; Aaliyah Martin, great niece; Layla Martin-Graves, special friends; Christopher E. Bennett, Sr., Diane Bigelow and Joyce Williams. Three aunts; Neapolis Galloway, Charlotte Harrison and Lucinda M. Scales. She also had other siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family members that she loved, and they will forever miss and cherish her memory.
