Annie Daisy Ballard was born on December 19, 1951, to the late Tyles and Idell Grant. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 3. 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church, Belmont Road, Louisville, GA. Public viewing will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home. Annie Daisy was educated in the Jefferson County Public Schools System and further her education in Job Corp, where she received specialized training. In 1972, Annie relocated to Miami, Florida. In 1974, she met the love of her life Shavers Ballard and they tied the knot in 1982. During her stay in Miami, she would finish out her career as a Optician’s Assistant for 35 years. Annie lived a full life and she loved the Lord. She became a member of Mount Calvary Misionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board and a member of Ward #1. Annie was a diva, she loved to dress in her fancy suits and hats. Annie loved her family, and her grandkids were her world. On Sunday, August 21, 2022, at 2:30 a.m. our heavenly Father whispered and said come onto me and I will give you rest. Our beautiful angel is resting in heaven. Annie was also preceded in by her brother, Jerry Gibbons; and sisters, Rosa Grant Rhymes and Inez Allen. Annie’s love and memories will be cherished by her husband, Shavers Ballard; her daughter, Ann Gilchrist (Maurice); grandchildren, Darren Grant, Courtney Gray (Charles), Cortira Gray (Steven), Teneka Snell and Bruce Grant; great grandchildren, Javion Grant and Jayce Walker; siblings, Robert Grant (Pearl), Irene Hill and Katie Porter of Louisville, Georgia, Mary Frances of Miami, Florida, Mary Culp (Victor) of Winfield, Alabama and Gloria Ivey, Charleston, S.C.; brother-in-law, Bertie Ballard (Mae) of Miami, Florida; uncle, Tyrone Grant (Pat) of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
