Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST, Tuesday, September 13, 2022 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be Monday, September 12, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. EST.
Lamia was born in Jersey City, NJ June 28, 1985 to the late Doreen Rogers and William Lewis. She was raised in Columbus, GA by the late Doreen Rogers and the late Tony Rogers.
Lamia attended Muscogee Elementary School, Eddy Middle School and Carver High School. In high school she played the Trombone for the Mighty Tigers Marching Band and she was apart of the track team where she threw shot puts and discus. Lamia worked in the food industry from the time she began working. She was a dedicated employee for many companies but really cherished working her way up at Captain D's. She worked her way up to becoming a General Manager and was hoping to soon become District Manager.
Lamia held many titles, but took pride most in being a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She loved her family and always tried to keep in touch with everyone. Lamia was full of love and life. She was just getting to the point where she started embracing herself and enjoying life. She danced, she laughed, she traveled. Her presence, support and love of family will be deeply missed!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Doreen Rogers and step father, Tony Rogers, Sr.
Lamia leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Anthony Haynes; father, William Lewis; siblings, Lamar Myrick, Mukia Myrick and Tony Rogers, Jr.; brother-in-law, Charlie Lee Haynes, Jr.; mother-in-law, Dorthy Franklin; uncles, Robert and Peter; aunts, Tyria, Nicole, Wanda and Jessie; four nieces, seven nephews and a host of cousins whom she loved dearly.
