Alphonso "Jeep" Irby

1954 - 2022

Alphonso "Jeep" Irby, age 67, Native of Selma, Alabama and longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama quietly departed this life at his residence on Thursday September 1,2022. He was affectionately known to family and friends as "Jeep" or Big Al. He attended the Central High School of Mobile and he also worked at Cooper- Wilkins Welding and machine shop for 35 years before retiring. His hobbies including fishing and hunting with the McKinley Hunting Club.

The evening of remembrance will be held Friday September 9,2022 at the Bell- Miller Memorial Chapel of Samuel Jackson Mortuary from 10am-8pm.

A viewing will begin at 10am until the 12PM Life Celebration on Saturday September 10,2022 at New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church of Tyler, Alabama.

Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
