Mrs. Ray, who passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Canterbury Rehabilitation Center in Phenix City, Alabama, was born on Wednesday, December 15, 1943, in Loachapoka, AL to the late Emphel William Paradise, Sr., and Zula Mae Washington Paradise.
Public viewing will be Friday, September 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).
She leaves to cherish her memories: seven children, Renea Ray (Tony) Nettles of Notasulga, AL, Tommie Lee Ray, Jr., George Edward Ray (Trudy Matthews) of Loachapoka, AL, Joann Ray Rowell of Notasulga, AL, Glenda Ray (Calvin) Frazier, Jerry (Kamisha) Floyd and Terry Floyd of Loachapoka, AL; three brothers, Hosea Lee (Lizzie) Paradise, Sr. of Waterbury, CT, Tommy Lee Paradise, Sr. and Dr. William E. Paradise of Loachapoka, AL; five sisters, Margaret Paradise of Loachapoka, AL, Mary (Roy Lee) Hawkins of Belle Mina, AL, Barbarie Ann (Robert) Rice of Decatur, AL, Jacqueline P. Jackson of Auburn, AL, and Caroline P. (Lorenza, Sr.) Pendleton of Auburn, AL; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
