Funeral service for Christian Payne, 52, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2 Day Lily Street, Loachapoka, AL 36865, interment will be at 11:00 a.m. (EST), Monday, September 12, 2022 in Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30114, Reverend Anthony Shealey will officiate. (Facial covering is required)

Mr. Payne, who passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL, was born December 25, 1969 in Lakeland, Florida.

Public viewing will be Friday, September 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required). Mr. Payne will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Takishia Payne of Auburn, AL; three children, MaryElizabeth Payne of Kennesaw, GA, Samara Gill of Braselton, GA and Jordyn Beverly of Auburn, AL; two grandchildren, Samaya Gill and Tantus (TJ) Whitaker II; one brother, Theodore Payne of McDonough, GA; three sisters, Deidre (Ronnie) Callaway of Polk City, FL, Tanya Payne and Tawanna Payne both of Lakeland, FL; two aunts, Velma (Thomas) Brown of Atlanta, GA and Ann Williams of Lakeland, FL; one uncle, Leroy (Cynthia) Williams of Vinton, IA; goddaughter, Kendra (Eddie) Martinez of San Antonio, TX; a special cousin and brother, Jeffrey Williams of Davenport, FL; a special niece, Shakea Payne of Lakeland, FL; a special nephew, Zarrius Jenkins of Lakeland, FL; mother-in-law, Reverend and Mrs. Jacqueline (Roger) Holtzclaw of Childersburg, AL; father-in-law, Marvin (Kiundra) Fair of Lincoln, AL; two sisters-in-law, Trinity (Jamal) Adair and LaCreshia (Kendric) Walker both of Childersburg, AL; grandfather-in-law, Mr. T.L.
