Mr. Terry Lee Jones

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Terry Lee Jones, Saturday, September 17, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Integrity Funeral Services, 3822 E. 7th Avenue, Tampa with Apostle Mary Richardson, eulogist, Pastor of New Hope Empowerment Center, Haines City, Florida. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Terry Lee Jones, also known as “T-Town” was born on January 22, 1949, in Havana, Florida to the late Joseph Jones and Lula Mae Jones. He graduated from Howard W. Blake High School in 1967. He worked for Cast Crete Cement and various other positions throughout his life before retiring. Terry was the life of the party and sure to put a smile on anyone’s face he encountered. He was a “Grill God” and could disassemble and put together an engine. He was also known for his infamous family toast, “Up to it, down to it…” He departed this life on September 4, 2022, in Tampa, Florida.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Joseph Sr. and Lula Mae Jones, his brothers Leon and Bobby, his uncles and aunts, Garfield Jones (Eloise), Henderson Jones (Katherine), Emma Jones-Lawson (John), Frances Jones-Maxwell (William), Mayo Jones (Ethel) and his grandson Shawn Lakeman.

Terry is survived by: wife, Dorothy Jones, three sons, Terry, Leon and Eric Jones; three daughters, Jackie (Darrick), Tomeca (Mike), and Shretta (Cedric); two brothers, Joseph Jr. (Tarlett) and Jimmy Jones (Derotha); one sister Valeria Jones; his grandchildren, Chencia, Dre, Michael, Asante, Jajaun, Tamia, Jada, Sherodd, Eric Jr., Gabriella, Joseph, Amber, Bobby and Derrick; seven nephews, Joseph III, DeNario, Bobby Jr. Jimmy Jr., Channing, Jamal, and Keon; four nieces, AnQuenette, Charisma, Tammy, and Gwendolyn; five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law; and a host of loving cousins. Special Friends: David, Charles, Leon, Mario, an O’Ray. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, 6-8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Services.
