James (Brown) Gaines, 39, of Knoxville, TN went to be with his heavenly father on September 1, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his wife Zaishkeisha Gaines, Grandparents Earnestine Brown, Johnnie (Smokie) Brown, Helen Watson and Walter Watson.

He leaves to cherish his memory children: Kheawine, Jameson, James III, Jamiyah, Jameyah, Janasia, Janaria, BriAsia, Jah’Zeria, Kquonddarya, and two beautiful grandchildren, Brielle and Bre’Niyah. Mother Carolyn Brown, Father Fonzo Howell. Sisters La’Keisha, Selena & Rakisha. Uncles John A. Hollins, Victor L. Brown Sr., Walter Watson & Willie Watson. Aunts Norma Jean Brown & Patricia Brown. Nieces, nephews & cousins/brother Johnathan Payne. Mother-inLaw Suzon (Jacobe) Bailey, and devoted companion Ashley Smith. The family would also like to recognize The McNair Family and the Lonsdale Community.

The Family will receive friends on Wednesday September 14, 2022, from 11-12pm with Celebration of Life service to begin at 12 Noon at Unity Mortuary with Pastor Michael McNair officiating.

The final resting place will be at New Gray Cemetery immediately following the service. A dove release will conclude.
