Brother Zion Xavier Harper was born December 7th, 1996, at DeKalb Medical Center, in Decatur, Georgia. His arrival blessed the lives of Senior Deacon Hiram and Elderess Tijuana Burns Harper, for twenty-five years. He was called from labor to reward on Friday, September 9th, 2022. Brother Zion's primary educational journey started at E.L. Miller Elementary, concluding with graduation from Redan High School in 2015. His talents were displayed early in life, when he was selected to sing the Star-Spangled Banner, coupled with his instrumental saxophone talents in the Blue Thunder Marching Band. He was an active participant in many school programs and demonstrated his artistic talents in the striking murals he shared with all. He continued his secondary educational journey at Georgia State University, studying Business Administration and choosing a career as a stock market trader. Brother Zion's spiritual journey began at birth as a member of The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob. He was a devoted and active member. He enjoyed attending and participating in Summer Camp activities. He served as President of the Young Missionaries Organization, coupled with other various positions in other church auxiliaries. He was the Assistant Choir Director for the Atlanta Gospeleers. He also was a member of The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob National choir, lending his Tenor voice to the one-hundred voice choir. Brother Zion's many talents were a blessing from God. He loved singing, playing the saxophone and the piano; his hands moved graciously and effortlessly across the ivory keys. God blessed him abundantly with arranging and producing music and he unselfishly shared his talents with many across the country; focusing on working with the youth to develop their talents. He was an artist, a landscaper and loved creating home renovations. Surviving in the warmth of his love and cherishing his memories are his parents, Senior Deacon Hiram and Elderess Tijuana Burns Harper, one sister, Sister Hannah Elizabeth Harper of Stone Mountain, Georgia; great-grandmother, Advanced Senior Mother Joe Jean Ware of Nashville, Arkansas; grandparents, Advanced Presiding Elder Larry and Senior Mother Glorious Burns of Grand Blanc, Michigan; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.
