Mother Reatha Hamilton Malone was born the daughter of the late Luther Hamilton and the late Carrie Doctor in Hampton County, South Carolina along with her twin sister, the late Edith Ruth.

At an early age, she confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she became a member of Antioch Christian Church (Disciples Of Christ).

She was educated in the public schools of Hampton County. After graduating, she transitioned to Elizabeth, New Jersey where she lived for 63 years. While in New Jersey, she became employed with The Center for Hope of Hospice Tallative Care. She worked with The Center for Hope of Hospice Tallative Care for over 40 years until she retired.
