Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. EST, (12 noon CST), Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Temple of God Church, Inc., Hurtsboro, AL with Bishop Larry Johnson, pastor; Bishop Walter Smith, eulogist. Interment will follow in Boromville A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, Hurtsboro, AL. Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. EST.
Carlriyana Jamayah Willis, commonly known as "MaMa" was born in Opelika, AL on December 18, 2005 to parents, Vera Denson (Jimmy Daniel) and Carleton (Theresa) Willis.
Carlriyana was a student-athlete at Russell County High School (RCHS) in Seale, AL. She was the president of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), a talented member of the Lady Warriors basketball team and always made the honor roll every school year. She loved fashion modeling, creating TikTok dance videos, cooking with her grandmother and recently registered to take courses at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
She accepted Christ at a very young age and was baptized at Boromville A.M.E Zion Church in Hurtsboro, AL. Though her life ended way too soon, her memory lives on in her family and friends.
Carlriyanna is survived by her mother, Vera Denson (Jimmy Daniel); father, Carleton (Theresa) Willis; sibling, Carleton James Denson; two uncles, Joe Denson, Jr. and Antonio Long; grandparents, Vera Cooper (Jay Smith), Joe Denson, Sylvia Willis and Willie Griffin and a host of other relatives and friends.
