Minister William C. Hadley

Minister William C. Hadley was born on December 30, 1924, in Quitman, Georgia to the late Cornelis and Susie Hadley. William was one of five children.

He attended The Brooks County School System. At a young age, William received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He later relocated to Florida, where he worked at the shipyard in Miami, then in Jacksonville with the railroad systems. William relocated one more time to Dunedin, Florida where he raised his children. He was employed by the City of Dunedin as the first black sanitation driver. He also was an entrepreneur and started his own landscaping company and farming business. William was the loving father of ten biological children and five stepchildren.

Minister William C. Hadley departed this life on Monday, September 19, 2022.

He was preceded in death by Willie C. Hadley, Jr, Mona Lee Davis, William Rowells, Verna German, Buddy Hadley and Larry Hadley.

He leaves to cherish his memories…

Seven loving children and two stepchildren: Ruth Reed-Dorsett (Jeremiah) of Alabama, Mack Hadley (Terry), Catherine Rowells, Edith Ham, Tommy Hadley, Mae Chestine (Bernard), Hayward Hadley, Pauline Henderson and Jeanette Brown (John), all of Florida

One loving sister: Rosa Lee Mitchell of Charleston, SC

A host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
